If you’re doing a lower league career mode, you don’t usually expect to be able to afford high potential players with five star skills. But Hachim Mastour is one of the few exceptions to the rule.

He starts out at 67 OVR and has 86 potential. That alone makes him an amazing buy in any career mode, and he’s only 17 so has plenty of years left to grow and possibly exceed his potential.

But add five star skills and a 76 dribbling stat into the mix and you have a real beast on your hands. If you like performing tricks to beat your opponents, this is the player for you.

He will absolutely destroy lower league teams, and even in higher divisions defenders will rarely be able to cope with his trickery. If he’s this good now, just imagine how good he’ll become at 86 OVR – or beyond!

Send off an enquiry to Málaga CF and they’ll want £1.8m for him; that means you can buy him for around £1.2m. His wages are also cheap at £3,000. That’s an absolute bargain for one of the most promising, skillful young attacking midfielders in FIFA 16.

Quick tips:

  • His high potential means other teams will be aware of him, so put in a bit fairly quickly so they don’t beat you to it
  • Aside from his skills and dribbling, his acceleration is his other main stat. Don’t worry, though, the rest of his stats will quickly catch up and he’ll develop rapidly
  • He is just as good on the wing and as a centre forward as he is at attacking midfield, so experiment with his position to find out where he’s best for your team
  • Here are his stats at the start of a career mode:
